Owens Lake VR
In this VR application users can experience Owens Lake, a now desiccated lake bed, flooded once again. It transports the user from the dried out lake bed to one with water flowing, and wildlife all around. Until 1913 Owens Lake had significant water when the LADPW diverted the water into the LA Aqueduct. It is now the largest single source of dust pollution in the United States. The LADPW has begun allowing minimal water back into the lake, and there’s hope an expanded flooding program could do more.
